About Me

My photo
Stuart Vance
The ArrghPtoo! Project starts with me making a drawing every day that simply and directly addresses what's going on around me and inside my head at that particular moment in time. I decided to use my iPhone and the Brushes app because 1) I've always got my iPhone on me, even when I'm in my pajamas, and b) I like the primitive technology and small format of the Brushes app - it keeps me honest somehow.

As a genre, I'm calling these things my Daily iPhone Drawings. Catchy, right?

I'm an artist, graphic designer, musical entertainer, husband, and father. Originally from California, I've been living in New York for 25 years and counting. I've graduated from art school, got a masters degree in telecommunications, worked for corporate giants and feisty start-ups, displayed and sold my art, and played for years in the world's greatest post-modern jug band, Washboard Jungle.

I love my life and I love to draw. And I love my iPhone. Those three things get married online in ArrghPtoo! Please to enjoy.

To see my other work on canvas and paper, go to stuartvance.com. Thank you.
